Chapter 16
“So, I see you didn’t wear makeup this time,” said Jack looking over Allison while they ate. She didn’t respond. “Kept with the fancy Ever dresses though.” Curse those girls and their advice. “Sorry about last time Allison.” She quickly snapped to attention. “It’s… Fine.” Don’t bring it up, don’t bring it up, don’t you dare bring it up. “You had your reasons.” He nodded uncomfortably. “Yea, but I still shouldn’t have went that far. Look I really like you. Now that there’s evil love, no one has to hold back their feelings, right? So how do you feel about me? Put aside the fact that Nevers are supposed to hate other people, and look at me!” She didn’t respond. Jack sighed and stood up. “I figured as much. Guess I was wrong about my feelings.” He turned to go, but before Ally even knew what she was doing, she grabbed onto his sleeve. “Don’t go. We can make this work.” “But-” “Sit down already! You don’t know what I’m going through! One of my only friends is missing, I’m getting help from EVERS, and I’m supposed to love you! I can’t survive much more disappointment, so the least you could do is give me one nice date.” He smiled and sat down, reading between the lines. “Well then, poor lonely girl, let’s officially start your ‘nice’ date.” MEANWHILE “Hey,Cheshiregi–” “I told you last time not to call me that.” Evie was already glowering, and they were only thirty seconds into the date. “Aren’t you a Cheshire? You always seem so proud of it.” Another glare. “If you insist. Evie, why are you always like this?” “What do you mean?” “Well,” he started, “You act like you hate me-” “Because I do.” “-but then you dance with me and kiss me.” Evie could feel her face heating up, and turned almost completely invisible to hide it. “Our faces bumped!” “Then why did you catch my rose when we first came here? You could have just let it fall.” Her breath caught in her throat, and she could feel herself becoming visible again. “That was…” She was silenced by a pair of lips meeting hers. ‘This isn’t right, he’s a moron, I don’t like him at all. I shouldn’t even be here, I should be looking for Hope! This isn’t the time to think like this!’ But she didn’t move away, not until he did with a bemused smile on his face. “Well, Evie, you tell me. Did our faces just bump into each other’s?” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was well past curfew when the girls returned around the same time. As soon as they did, both Evergirls and Nevergirls pounced out at them and bombarded them with questions about the date. To these, Evie let out a series of ‘Nothing happened!’ and Allison remained silent. Eventually they gave up. Then Willow seemed like she remembered something. “We should show them that.” Even if Evie and Allison didn’t understand, all the others did. Rose pulled out what looked like a playing card but had a strange symbol red roses and chess pieces on it, all surrounded by a heart. “We found this at the edge of the Blue Forest. It might have something to do with the disappearances. Do either of you recognize- Evie what’s wrong?” The girl was pale as she looked at the card. A long silence before she spoke. “We have to go to Wonderland.”

Chapter 15
The Evers and Nevers met at lunch the next day. “Time for dating advice!” Velvet squealed. Ally covered her ears. “Ow.” “Sorry,” Velvet said. “Just so excited.” Jane started off. “Okay, first of all, don’t bring up your parents. If it’s a touchy subject, then don’t talk about it. Or better yet, resolve your differences! Get over the rough patch and start again. Second, don’t call your date a moron, Evie.” She looked pointedly at the Nevergirl, who folded her arms and scowled. “He started it.” Jane frowned at her. “Well, don’t insult him! Honestly, all you Nevers do is insult one another.” Evie clenched her fists and opened her mouth to say something, but Rose stepped in front of her friend. “Okay, maybe we should try a different approach,” she said. “What do you suggest?” Jane asked. “Maybe not saying ‘don’t’ so much?” Rose replied. “Okay so talk about yourself. Talk about what you like, talk about your interests! With any luck you’ll have SOMETHING in common! Try to keep the conversation away from your parents, but don’t totally avoid the topic. If he wants to talk about it, then talk.” Ally frowned. “Why should I do what he wants? He should do what I want!” Rose sighed in exasperation. “You can do what you both want! Let him know that you don’t want to talk about it and he probably won’t.” Ally scuffed her boot against the ground, but didn’t argue. Evie frowned. “Why are boys so COMPLICATED?!” Rose laughed. “Boys are like that.” Ellie stepped forward. “You should kiss him at the end of the date!” The other Evergirls tittered. Evie looked like she was going to explode. “Excuse me but how can I kiss him?! Our first date went terribly! Assuming I even WANT to!” She yelled. “If you kiss him, then he’ll know you're over it,” Velvet said. “Your ignoring the fact that I don’t want to kiss him! Or make up with him.” Ellie looked at her levelly. “Is that true?” Evie flailed for words. The wolves howled and the 6 Evergirls and 3 Nevergirls scurried back towards their tunnels. That evening, Evie and Allison prepared for their dates like some people prepare for the apocalypse. Velvet lent them two sparkly black dresses, which they wore, if reluctantly, and TRIED to put some of her makeup on them, but both flat-out refused. Jack met Ally, and Aric met Evie outside their room. Aric held out his arm for Evie to take. “Coming back for more, are ya?” He asked slyly. “I figured I couldn’t leave you all lonely and depressed in your room,” Evie replied. “Oh, you didn’t,” Aric said. Evie laughed and took his arm. Ally watched them from the door. Jack stood next to her, looking more than a little awkward. He ran his fingers through his hair. “So,” he said with a forced smile. “There they go. Here we are. Together. Alone. Here. Yeah.” He looked so uncomfortable that Ally had to rescue him. “Come on, wolf-boy,” she said, taking him by the arm. “Let’s do dinner.” Chapter 14 (JULIAOFOAKLAND)
As elated as she was that the Nevergirls wanted dating advice from her and her friends, Rose was terrified. Missing students? Especially since one of them was Snowy, her new friend. And now this Nevergirl, Hope. Rose didn’t know what to think. Should they tell the faculty? Wait for their return? Or should they go out and find them themselves? 6 Evers and 3 Nevers, alone looking for two missing students? And who’s to say whether or not more people would disappear? Velvet knew this was serious when she saw Nevers looking scared. These fearsome girls, apparently unfazed by the Doom Room (whatever was in there, it sounded bad), were scared when a girl went missing. And she could tell it wasn’t the leftover fear of a first date. Marigold was upset. Her mother could fix this with a snap of her fingers, but now her roommate was missing and she couldn’t do a thing! Evie found a way to channel her anger. She pulled her courage out from a sea of fear. “What are we sitting here waiting for? We should be finding our friends!” At that moment, the curfew bell rang, and the girls scrambled to get back to their rooms. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ellie and Jane woke up to screaming from next door. “What’s going on?” asked Jane, poking her head into the hallway, where Evergirls comforted a sobbing princess. Tears streamed down the dark-haired girl’s face as she spoke. “My twin sister, Starr, was in here last night. This morning Samaya and I woke up, and she was gone!” Another girl with curly light brown hair nodded in agreement from in their room. She seemed too terrified to speak. By this time, Rose, Velvet, Marigold, and Tina had woken up and joined the crowd in the hall. We all looked at each other and ran to our rooms to dress. Marigold sent her mother’s old umbrella flying over to the School for Evil with a note, telling the Nevergirls to meet them in the Blue Forest after breakfast. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 6 Evergirls and 3 Nevergirls met in the Blue Forest. Rose couldn’t wait and burst out with the news. “Sabina’s twin sister Starr disappeared last night!” “Who’re they?” asked Willow. “Our next-door neighbors,” said Velvet. “What can we do?” said Tina “I don’t know,” Ally and Jane said at the same time. “We might as well just go on with classes and dating advice,” said Ellie. The girls all stared at her in disbelief. “She’s right,” Rose said. “There’s nothing we can do right now, and getting on with our lives normally can keep us from worrying too much.” The girls silently parted ways, resolving to meet again that night after curfew to investigate. The dates would be that afternoon. “It’s not like we can do much before class,” Evie had said. But as they walked to their towers, both doors swung open to missing windowpanes, shattered glass on the floor, and a note on each tower’s windowsill. Chapter 13
” Evie, better get ready for your date!!!!!” Willow teased at Evie buried her face under a pillow “I’m not going!!!”Evie whined ” What date?” Paula asked as she and Scarlett walked into the room ” Evie has a date with Aric!!” Willow said as she pulled a black dress covered with black sequins ” Pray, tell me I don’t have to wear that!!” Evie shrieked pecking up from under her pillow ” Yep, you do, one of those ever girls, Velvet, sent it over!” Willow said as she pulled out some make up ” They sent this to!” ” Evie Cheshire is going on a date?!?!” Scarlett screeched ” It appears so!” Paula said ” I don’t care what you say I’m not going!” Evie said as she hid her face under the pillow again ” Ally has a date to!!” Willow said “Plus you did kiss him!!” ” Our faces bumped into each other!” ” Well he thinks it was a kiss!” ” Well I don’t care what he thinks!” Evie muffled ” We bumped into each other!!” ” Well, you can tell him that at your date!!” Scarlett said as she pulled blush and a blush applied out of the makeup box ” Fine, I’ll go!” Evie mumbled, knowing she was defeated ” Yes!!!” Willow, Paula, and Scarlett cheered as Willow handed Evie the dress ” What do I even do at this date?” Evie asked as she changed into the dress behind a changing wall. ” You eat dinner, go on a walk, and talk.” Paula said as she and Scarlett helped Willow unpack the rest of the makeup The girls stayed silent as Evie got dressed ” What do you think?” Evie asked them as she stepped out in the black dress and black heel shoes ” You look great!!!” Paula squealed ” Come on, let’s do your make up.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile Ally was struggling to get ready. ” You on a Date?!” Hester shrieked once Hope and ally had told them about the date ” Nevers can love now!!” Hope defended. For she had no clue what was in store for her later that night. ” Yeah, so I’m going on a date with a boy who’s dad tried to EAT my mother!” Ally sulked ” But, you do like him, right?” Dot asked eating a chocolate textbook ” Well, sort of..” Ally admitted ” So, the past is the past. This is the present! I say go for it!” Dot said as she bit into her book ” No she shouldn’t !” Hester said snatching Ally’s dress from her. ” I’m going, Hester!!” Ally snapped as she grabbed the dress back ” And there’s nothing you can do about it!!” After she changed into the red dress with a gold hem and fiery red heels( to match her hair) Hope did her makeup and Ally left to meet up with Evie. Hope went into the hall behind her but before she could enter Evie’s room a hooded shadow gagged her and pulled her away… ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ” Hi.” Aric said to Evie once she meet him in the Blue Forest. ” Hi.” She said as she sat down next to him on a black picnic cloth and a picnic of cheese, grapes and other foods ” So, Cheshiregirl–” Aric started.lol ” Don’t call me that!” Evie interrupted ” So, Evie, I know you're from Wonderland, so what’s it like there?” He asked eating a grape. ” Well it is just what it sounds like: Wonderful, mad, fun, ever lasting craziness! Oh how I loved it there! I plan to go back after I become a Top Villain!” She sighed at the thought of her home, as she twirled her necklace ” What’s that?” Aric asked gesturing towards her necklace ” Oh, this. It’s from wonderland, made of Tweedledee wood. It’s a rare tree in Wonderland. There is only a few left!” She fiddled with the cat shaped wooden charm, it was her prized possession ” What about you? Who’s your parents?” She asked Aric looked down. “I never met my father, but my mother used to be the dean of our school. But she died in the end of the Tale of Sophie and Agatha.” Aric looked at her ” Why do you ask?” ” I was just curious! Geez!” Evie crossed her arms ” Since we were talking about my roots.” ” Why are you so obsessed with wanting Class Captain?” Aric asked her ” I am not obsessed!! You moron!!” Evie snapped ” What?! I’m not a moron!!” Aric shot ” Oh yeah?” ” Yeah!” ” Prove it!” ” Why should I prove myself to a girl?!” ” That’s it!” Evie began to fade ” I’m outta here!!” She disappeared, leaving Aric all alone. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile. Ally’s date wasn’t a success either. ” So no hard feelings about our parents?” Jack asked ” Yeah, no hard feelings your dad almost ATE my mother.” Ally said casually as if she didn’t care ” I’m sorry ok?” Jack said ” Yeah, ok!” Ally said sarcastically ” It’s not my fault!!” He yelled “Your father killed my dad!!” ” Because he almost ate my mom!!” ” Oh, come on can you blame a villain for being evil?” ” Yes, actually I can!” Ally stood ” And I can also do this!” She stomped away. Once she reached Evie’s room she let out a sob ” You too?” Evie asked her mascara smudged from crying ” Yeah” Ally sighed “I really like him I just don’t know what it’s like to date or be nice in that point.” Evie nods while Willow and their roommates clean off their faces ” We can help with that!”a voice calls out from the door. The girls spun to see Tina, Rose, Jane, Ellie, Velvet, and Marigold walk in. ” Have you guys seen Snowy? We can’t find her!” Velvet asked ” Haven’t seen her, that reminds me, have you guys seen Hope?” Willow asked Just the look on the girls faces were enough to know what had happened…. They were gone! Chapter 12 (AGATHA303)
“Why are you looking at the floor?” Aric asked her. She looked up at him, startled. She didn’t even realize she was looking at the floor. She felt something sitting on her sides, but remembered it was his hands. Evie felt odd. She had never been held like this. Let alone by a boy. A boy who liked her. She blushed when she looked over at Ally and Jack, who seemed to be in love. Evie stopped. Aric stopped too. “I don’t know how to put this,” Evie sighed. Aric looked at her. “You hate me.” Evie took a deep breath “imscaredidontknowwhattodoimnervousandjusthethoughofdancingwithaboy-” “Slower, I can’t understand a wood your saying,” Aric told her. Evie looked deeply into his violet eyes. “I’m scared. I have no idea what to do around boys, and I’m, I’m, nervous” she whispered. He smiled. “You think I’ve danced with girls before,” he said. Evie snorted. “Let’s try this, but this time, let it not be as awkward,” Evie declared to him. She pressed her chest against his, wrapped her arms around his neck,, and closed her eyes. This time, instead of feeling weird and nervous in his arms, she felt warm. “Cheshiregirl,” he teased. “Don’t you start,” Evie snorted. “Fine. I’ll call you weirdo instead.” “Then I’ll call you creep.” He leaned in towards her. She leaned in to until…. ~KISS!~ Jack and Allison stopped and stared at the two Nevers. So did everyone else. Even the Evers. Velvet, Snowy, Tina, Rose, Ellie, Jane, and Marigold smiled wide smiles. They didn’t even notice. They let go and everyone pretended they didn’t stare. Meanwhile the Evergirls were having the time of their lives. They had fallen in love with the boys and had almost forgotten about the Tobias issue. The Vex called the party done. They all walked out their own way. “So, Evie….” Hope smirked. “Anything you would like to tell us?” “No,” Eive snapped. “Because Allison wasn’t much better.” “Hey!” Allison said, lightly punching Evie. The Evergirls swooned over their princes one last time. “That was awesome!” Tina cheered. “It was so much fun! I think we found our princes!” Snowy squealed. “We should talk to them tomorrow!” Velvet added. “Did you see the two Nevers?” Rose asked. They turned to her. “Who didn’t?” Ellie said. “Never apparently CAN love!” “We should tell Evie we thought it was nice tomorrow!” Marigold whispered, opening to door to her room. “Totally! They said in unison then departed and slept. Chapter 11
“Maybe that blasted boy tried to throw you off!” Professor Espada suggested, while twiddling his mustache. Underneath snake skin capes and invisibility spells students held their breath. “I suppose,” professor Dovey sighed. “And anyways this isn’t my domain anything that goes on here is all up to Dean Sophie now.” The two teachers climbed back up the stairs, oblivious to the students wear abouts. Only after the echo of teachers footsteps stopped did the students dare come out of hiding. They waited to turn on the music, but in the mean time Evers and nevers both thought of ways to punish Tobias. “I can’t believe he would do that!” Snowy yelped “I feel bad for him the poor guy is gonna get a rude awakening in class tomorrow.” Velvet replied. The rest of them nodded in agreement. A group of everboys soon made their way over to the 6 girls still sopping wet. “I had a feeling this party was a bad idea, hosted by nevers, that’s never a good sign. Now you guys are all wet, the teachers are on to us and the whole school hates Tobias.” Peter started “but we might as well make the best of it” he grinned holding his hand out to Jane, “care to dance?” Jane felt her knees wobble and a giant smile spread across her face. She curtsied and took Peter's hand. Then the other everboys took each of the other girls to dance, leaving the nevers moping around the other side of the dungeon. “Ugh look at them dancing around our party, in our dungeon, having the time of their life’s. Makes me sick.” Hope groaned. Willow fake vomited trying to emphasize hopes point. Ally was about join in when she caught a tall, pale, neverboy with dark brown hair nearly black, and gray eyes staring at her. He was leaning against the snack table with Aric. She nudged Evie and pointed toward the two boys, now Aric was staring at Evie. “Oh no.” She groaned “we can’t just avoid them for the next four years.” Ally said “and why is that?” “You see that guy standing next to Aric his name is Jack, he picked in surviving fairytales.” “So? That doesn’t mean we have to hang out with them! Look I know you parents were legendary Evers and all, and they tried to teach you how to be nice but you're a nev–” Aric and Jack started walking over to Ally and Evie. “You two wanna dance?” Asked Jack. “I’ll go if you go.” Allison mouthed to Evie. Evie rolled her eyes and took Aric’s hand. She and ally let the two boys lead them to the dance floor. “So who are your parents?” Jack asked “my moms red riding hood and my dads the hunter that saved her.” He looked a surprised but Allison was used to people being shocked about her parents. “Your parents are Evers and your a never? Wow that must’ve been some news when they found out.” “Yeah you should’ve seen their faces when I dyed my hair.” Ally replied, gesturing toward her long black hair with fiery red ends. “Who are your parents?”she asked, He seemed unnerved by the question. “I never really knew my mom but a my dad is kinda… Thewolfthatateyourmom.” He said slurring the last sentence. “What?” Jack inhaled and started again, “my dad… Is the wolf that ate your mom… No hard feeling?” Ally blinked a few times before thinking of a response. “Sure no hard feelings I mean my dad kinda killed yours so I guess we’re even.” “Yeah…” He said his grip on her tightening. Allison looked at his face trying to read what he was thinking, and for a split second Jack’s eyes turned blood red. Chapter 10
”What’s up, girls?” said Evie, striding up to the Evergirls. ”Having fun?” said Willow, coming up behind them. Out of the corner of their eyes, both Nevergirls spotted Ally and Hope filling up a bucket with red punch. The Evergirls whipped around to face Willow. ”What are you doing here?” a blonde asked. Evie vanished and appeared beside Willow. Two of the Evers literally jumped back when they saw this. ”Evers. So slow,” Evie said. ”Darlings, this is our dungeon. And our party. And we didn’t invite you.” Perfect, she thought. The Evergirls were so mesmerized by the pair that they didn’t notice Ally and Hope sliding up behind them, punch bucket between them. One, mouthed Hope, Two, Three! ”Look up,” said Willow sweetly. The Evers glanced up. Ally and Hope dumped the punch all over them. The act sent three of them squealing and running away, grabbing at their soaked hair, while the others stood gaping, dripping with punch. The room was silent for a few heartbeats, then all of the Nevers burst out laughing. The Everboys, however, immediately ran over to the embarrassed girls. Hope and Ally ran over to Willow and Evie. ”That was awesome!” giggled Ally. Hope bobbed her head. ”We totally scared the living daylights out of them!” ”Amazing!” Willow whispered. Then she said, ”Now we scare away the rest.” Evie leaned toward the Evergirls with a smile. Then she made a low growling noise deep in her throat. ”Boo.” The remaining Evergirls shrieked and ran out of the dungeon. A Nevergirl ran over to them. ”That was amazing!” They recognized her as Scarlett, a girl that was in their classes with them. Evie smirked. ”Just to prove that I’m future Class Captain.” The party continued. Evers twirled together on the dance floor underneath fountains of color, while lone Nevers danced under the glowing disco ball. Suddenly a Neverboy turned, eyes wide. Evie recognized him as Vex, the creator of this whole party. ”Teachers coming!” he yelled. It was as if he’d yelled, ”Fire!” Total pandemonium exploded across the dungeons. Some Nevers grabbed snakeskin capes from the walls and vanished, while everyone else used magic to somehow disappear from the room. Evie turned invisible, Willow raised her glowing finger and turned Ally, Hope, and herself invisible along with the disco ball, refreshments table, dance floor, and lights. The room went silent as everyone vanished and the room went dark. A second later, the teachers came in. First the Evil teachers, then the Good teachers. ”Some Everboy let it slip to me that tonight all of the students were having a party after curfew here.” Professor Dovey murmured to Professor Espada. ”Tobias, I think his name was.” Just outside the dungeon, on the other side of a different door, with her punch-soaked ear pressed against it, Snowy’s eyes widened in surprise. Chapter 9 (DOVEY4EVER)
Rose, Velvet, Jane, Ellie, Snowy, and Tina tiptoed down to the dungeon a half hour past curfew. “I can’t believe we’re doing this!!!” Velvet whispered. Snowy tugged nervously at her lacy pink sleeve. “Me neither. Do you think the only refreshments will be horse blood and human hearts?” The Evergirls gave a collective shudder. In her nervousness, Rose tripped over a loose stone and fell forward, rolling head over heels until she smacked into a heavy wooden door. The others hurried down the tunnel. “Are you okay?” Tina asked anxiously. “Fine,” Rose groaned, sitting up and rubbing the back of her head. “But look! There’s dirt on my dress!” She quickly brushed it off as if the dust particles were acid. “Do you think this is it?” Jane asked, pointing tentatively to the door. “Duh,” Snowy and Ellie said in unison. “Jinx!” Both girls shouted. “Double jinx! Triple jinx!” “Um, guys,” Velvet said anxiously but they didn’t hear. “GUYS!!!” Tina yelled. She pushed the door open. And every Evergirls jaw dropped. A red disco ball hung from the ceiling, sending beams of crimson light across the floor. There was a large bowl of what they hoped was punch on a rusty iron table—–at least, they hoped it was rust——and groups of both Nevers and Evers stood around chatting. “Omigosh Tobias is here!!!” Snowy squealed, a bit too loudly. A group of Everboys started making their way towards them. They were so caught up in everything else that none of the girls noticed the heavy wooden doors on the OTHER side of the dungeon. But in a minute or two, they would. At that very moment, Ally, Willow, Hope, and Evie were creeping down a different tunnel. “Jeez when is this passageway going to end?” Willow asked. “My feet are sore,” Ally complained. “I’m starting to think that going to this party was a mistake,” Hope said. The three other nevergirls whirled on her. “What?!! How can you say that? This is going to be the best experience of our lives now stop spewing crazy talk and keep walking!!!” Evie exclaimed. Her voice echoed through the hall. All of the girls glanced nervously back the way they had come. “Shhh Evie do you want to get us sent to the doom room again?” Willow hissed. Evie glared at her. “What can they do to us? We’re the girls who killed the friggin’ beast, for badness’ sake! Toughen up Willow.” Willow glared back. “I AM tough, I just don’t want to get caught unlike you!” Ally pushed between them. “Stop arguing guys we’re here!” “Finally,” Willow grumbled. “Okay, now’s our time to make an entrance. Evie?” Evie drew a small bag of red glitterdust out of her robes. They had decided to get everyone to notice them at the party, to recognize them as Lead Villains. A brief argument had followed Evie’s announcement that she was going to declare herself future Class Captain, and they had barely talked her out of it. “Ready?” Hope asked. The other girls nodded. Ally pushed open the door, Evie reached into her bag, and they burst into the dungeon. Devil-red glitter rained down on top of them, causing the other students to stop and stare. Evie nodded in smug satisfaction. “Oh yes, underlings. Your looking at your future Class Captain here. Bow down before me.” Then she saw the Evergirls. “What are they doing here?!!” She said. “I didn’t invite them!!” Willow replied. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Evie asked. “If you're thinking that we should go scare those Evergirls out of their prissy little minds, then yes,” Willow said with a grin. Evie whispered the plan to Hope and Ally. Then, all together, they strolled towards the Evers in pink. Time to scare some princesses. Chapter 8
“Can’t wait until Dean’s class,” Allison said to the others in the Supper Hall. They were staring down at a breakfast of pancakes, which all of them were eating rather quickly. Ever since yesterday they killed the beast, they had been loved but feared by all students of Evil. They were the It Group. The Four Sinister Girls of Malice Tower. “I’m beginning to hate other people,” said Willow. As they were just getting up to go to class, a random boy slid four pieces of parchment across their table. Each having the same words about a party in the dungeons for Good and Evil. They picked them up, took their textbooks, and headed off to Professor Sophie’s class. They entered her room to see a beautiful blonde girl with green eyes and tan skin. No one else was there. “Welcome, girls.” She said. “I heard about your punishment yesterday. They girls but their bottom lips. “We’re in trouble, aren’t we,” Willow sighed. Sophie looked up,at her. “No.” They looked at her strangely. “So were NOT in trouble for ‘disrupting’ the assembly?” Allison asked. “You brought out a valid point. So for that reason, Professor Dovey, the Good Dean and I have decided that the winner of the Trial by Tale will get the Groom Room and host the Snow Ball,” the Dean explained we nodded and sat down. Other students piled in the room. Classes for the Nevers were a bit of a blur, with them in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th, Ally and Evie were in the lead. The Evergirls floats around like butterflies around their classes. Beautifying, learning animals calls, and watching dashing princes fight with swords. At lunch the Evers and Never sat in their own groups, talking amongst themselves In Special Talents things were boring only finding out their talents. Surviving fairy tales was interesting. All four Nevergirls had been put with Rose, Velvet, Jane, and Ellie along with boys. “They’re in our group,” Ellie pointed out, staring at the Nevers. Yuba looked up at the group. Now for today’s exercise, all the girls will be sealed in glass coffins. Now that Nevers can love, we will have one boy at a time use their heart find a girl for them, Peter, would you like to start?” Yuba asked. Peter was loved by all the Evergirls. He slowly walked by every coffin, “Just pick a coffin!” A deep, strapping voice said. Peter opened the coffin to reveal Jane. Jane, happy as ever, took his hand and they sat down. “Aric, since you seem to be such an expert at this, can you try?” Yuba asked with annoyance in his tone. Aric stood up. “It’s easy, this one,” he said, opening up to see Evie. He slowly lifted Evie out, revealing her delicate features and her lethal look. “C-Cheshiregirl,” he said. “I’m Aric.” Evie have him a glare. No one could figure out what it meant. “The names Evie if you haven’t noticed,” Evie snapped at him. She stepped out of the coffin, still staring at the Violet eyed boy that picked her coffin. She knew Ally was going to bug her to death about it. Aric was staring at her after. “What are you looking at?” She snapped. “DEFINITELY not you!” He snapped back. They watched as everyone else got picked. Hope got 1st due to the fact she fooled an Everboy. “Not that hard to fool. They think their princess will just fall into their arms, won’t they?” Hope teased. “How does Good win if it’s this naive?” Allison pouted. “Oh yeah, Evie, who picked you?” Evie looked at her. “Who picked you?” She asked. “Not telling!” She sneered, Evie pursed her lips. “Then I’m not either.” Meanwhile the Evergirls were gossiping about which guy picked them. “I got picked by Peter!” Jane called. “I got Rider!” Marigold cheered. “Did you see Evie and Aric?” Velvet asked. “Do you think they’re in love?” Two of them shook their heads. Marigold nodded. “Just wait and see girls, they’re in love, just need some time.” “Are you going to the party tonight?” Said Ellie, running up tonight. They squealed and ran off. Chapter 7 (FAIRESTOFTHEMALL)
As Pollux and Castor explained all the rules and expectations, the 5 ever girls were talking the there 2 new friends, Snowy, daughter of Snow White, and Tina, daughter of Gretel. “Did you see those creepy never girls who were sent to the Doom Room?” Tina asked as she glanced at the guarded doors, as if they might come back. “We ran into them before the welcoming!” Velvet told her, still creeped out by Evie’s disappearing act. “Oh, those girls are awful!!!” Marigold added “Glad they aren’t in our school!” Snowy sighed in relief. After the Welcoming was ended, the 7 friends walked up to their dorms “How lucky is it that we have dorms right next to each other!!” Rose exclaimed “I know, right!” Tina cheered They walked into Marigold, Snowy, and Tina’s room, which was decorated with glass flowers, carriages, and crowns. “Your room is beautiful!!”Ellie gushed “Thanks!” Snowy replied as she adjusted her tiara in the reflection of a glass carriage “So, who’s rose did you guys catch?” Jane asked looking at her rose’s tag ” Mines from Jacob!” “Mine’s from William” Ellie read off her rose “Mine’s from Oliver.” Velvet said “Tobias.” Snowy said “Nathan.” Rose said “Tristan.” Tina said “My mother once loved a boy named Tristan, but while they were in school he died in the trial.” Jane said quietly “I’m sorry,” Tina said “It’s fine.” Jane said quickly “mines from Peter.” “Rider.” Marigold said “Where should we put our roses?” Rose asked curiously as she studied her rose “Let’s put them all in a vase!” Tina suggested as she hopped off her bed and grabbed a tall glass vase decorated with diamonds and pearls and filled it with water. “Great idea!” Velvet agreed ” But let’s leave the tags on them so we know who’s is who’s.” “Ok, sounds great!” Rose added as she put hers in the vase. The other 6 put theirs in. Then Tina set them on the table by the window “There, so we can all enjoy them!” She clapped her hands “Time for supper!!” Ellie said as the 7 girls stood up and smoothed their dresses ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the Supper Hall, the girls were served a beautifully cooked meal of steamed vegetables and chili along with fresh squeezed lemonade, and raspberry sorbet for dessert. During supper they chatted with other girls from their tower about childhoods, compared schedules, and gossiped about the other school “I heard that the 4 girls who were brought to the Doom Room during the Welcoming, killed the beast!!” One girl said “No way, those creepy girls who we ran into earlier KILLED the beast?” Velvet stammered still shivering from their greeting with Evie. “Yep, they're the new bad girl clique, so watch out.” The other girl said as she sipped her lemonade. “Those girls are terrible!!” Marigold stiffened ” I hope we never have to see them again!” “Glad they aren’t in our school” Snowy sighed. |
